Jeanne White is the Author of this post. I interviewed Susan Fernandez on being a caregiver and a volunteer. Susan spoke trying to be proactive with her Fathers medical history and time an again was disregarded on her observations with the treatment of her Parents. Sometimes Doctors can be so self righteous and disregard the caregivers in the treatment.
Also, spoke about being an advocate for the Alzheimer patients. Susan in her quest to help her parents, acquired great resources. One resource was Geriatric Case Manager. There may be a fee so if you could have the help of your siblings could maybe have one or two sessions. They are an excellent resources.

The next could be Employee Assistance Program from your employer. This could be an excellent source for you, You can also contact your area Elder Council on aging. These are just a few of the resources that Susan discussed. Susan also talked about some books that could be helpful. One book she mentioned is the Elder Care Resource Book, Patient Handbook are just a few of the books, Susan discussed.

Again you can hear all about this information on this audio. You really will be very informed with this interview. So have a pencil and paper to write down this information. You can always go back to this interview and listen as much as you need.

If you need to contact Susan Fernandez, you can contact via Facebook or you can contact me at

Hope you received some great information on your quest as a caregiver.

Make it a Brilliant day
