Distinguish Yourself from the Ordinary!

Tip #9

What do you do with your hands?

Keep them in your lap.

Not interlacing your fingers. Not twisting them into knots. Not biting your nails.

Keep them quiet in you lap, lying flat. Unnoticed.

Wear beige nail polish or clear nail polish. Don’t bring attention to them.

Flipping in the air. Drawing circles. Emphasizing a point.

You’re in that studio for one reason.

An interview by a host. In front of a camera. In front of a video camera. Even speaking on the phone.

Don’t get carried away by your body movements. They’re distractions to the main reason why you’re

being interviewed.

Content. Information. Facts. Characters.

Reminder that’s why you’re there.

A performance of a quiet body…unless there’s a reason for the theatrics.

Until next time… .
